After getting two degrees in unrelated areas I finally found my passion: Healthy Living! I became a Health Coach. As a Certified Health Coach I help people to do what they all want to do: EAT HEATHY and BE HEALTHY. Today odds are against you if you seriously decide to become healthy. It is not always easy. But of course it is possible. I hope to inspire and support you in your journey with my recipes, podcast, articles, support group, and my coaching program. I promote Whole Food, Plant-Based Diet, which is a diet based on fruits, vegetables, tubers, whole grains, and legumes; and it excludes or minimizes meat (including chicken and fish), dairy products, and eggs, as well as highly refined foods like bleached flour, refined sugar, and oil.
I am a graduate of the Plant-Based Nutrition Certification Program from eCornell, designed by Nutrition Studies. Check out their informative website: http://nutritionstudies.org/
In 2016 I have founded and with a wonderful group of volunteers organized the first VegFest in Lexington, KY – LexVegFest. We are planning on making LexVegFest an annual event. Learn more here: http://lexvegfest.org/
Today most of my time is dedicated to organizing the LexVegFest and working at PlantPure Communities. I serve as a Director of Pod Operations and Development Support. Pods are groups of volunteers who promote a plant-based lifestyle. As part of this work Dr. Debora Tallio and I run a free support group in Lexington. We meet once a month at her office or occasionally at a different location for a potluck and always a great discussion. If you are interested in coming to a meeting send me an e-mail. You can also join our Facebook group called Lexington for Health or that same group on the PlantPure Pods site here.
Health Coaching is something I enjoy very much, but do not have as much time for it at the moment. That is why I only work with people interested in transitioning and trying primarily Whole Food, Plant-Based diet.
